ABSTRACT: This study explores innovations in evaluating vocational education program outcomes, focusing on the effectiveness of new assessment methods in measuring educational success. The objectives were to (1) assess current evaluation methods in vocational education, (2) identify innovative evaluation techniques, and (3) propose strategies for integrating these innovations into vocational education programs. A survey design was chosen to collect data from students, educators, and program administrators to gain insights into current practices and potential improvements. The sample size comprised 200 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to include those with direct experience in program evaluation. The case study was conducted in Lagos State, Nigeria, due to its diverse vocational education landscape. Findings revealed that traditional evaluation methods often failed to capture the full scope of student competencies and program effectiveness. Innovative techniques such as competency-based assessments, real-time feedback systems, and longitudinal tracking of graduates were found to be more effective. Recommendations included adopting a mix of traditional and innovative evaluation methods, training educators in new assessment techniques, and leveraging technology to track and report on student progress and program outcomes more effectively.
